  • Yes. We have mixed abilities throughout each coaching group. The purpose is about developing confidence, so that your young player can get the most out of their rugby journey, regardless of where it takes them.

  • Each session last an hour. They favour game based learning, with a sprinkling of drills to highlight a specific skill. The focus is on fun, engagement and a safe space to try new things.

    • Core skills: handling, footwork, tackling, breakdown, and kicking

    • Game intelligence and decision-making under pressure

    • Position-specific skill development

    • Competitive and fun games to apply learning in realistic situations

  • Pitch sessions first and foremost must be positive. Players are encouraged to try and fail without consequence.

    They are backed up by an online course that players can complete in their own time.

  • Academy group sessions are set at 14 so coaches can get to know all the players and can give them personal feedback.

  • The Academy works out to be £22 per session. This also includes the online content.

    Payments are to be made upfront before the term starts.

    1:1 sessions are £90 per hour but discounts are given for block bookings.

  • We do not offer any trial or taster sessions, but if you really feel like your player doesn’t like it after 1 session, we will refund your payment

  • If you miss a session due to illness, injury or simply being away, we are afraid we cannot offer a refund. If the session is cancelled by us, then we will reimburse you for what is missed. All the details can be seen in the academy policies

  • Coaches are qualified first aiders and hold liability insurance. Please see the terms and conditions in the academy policies for more details

  • Yes. Any player that is under 18 is required to have parent in attendance. For safeguarding and for injury concerns

  • All academy sessions are group focused and we offer 1:1 coaching for anyone who requires something more specific.

  • We offer coaching to boys and girls. They will not be mixed groups though.

  • Yes. The online course will help with that and if anyone wants a more personal touch with a 1:1 mentoring call, please just reach out.

  • Currently all academy sessions are run at Beechwood Park School, Markyate, St Albans. Hertfordshire. We have plans to expand into different areas soon.

    1:1’s can be run anywhere that suits both parties
